“Everyone under One Roof!”“In all weather the roofed atrium is a place of encounters, for using the Internet, playing cards, and watching the children frolic around.”Like the plazas in southern countries, the atrium is not just a big square but a space articulated by recessed and protruding levels, staircases, balconies, and pergolas: public and private life intermingle.So-called joker rooms offer concentrated areas for semi-public events like seminars, meetings, or celebrations.“Four rectangular building volumes make maximum use of the plot. The gaps between the blocks clearly define the entrances.”“All apartments extend through from front to back; walls are kept to a minimum.
