“New Design for the Sciences””By following the sloping topography of the site, the two intersecting building volumes frame the new & inviting square.“”All spaces are assembled around the central & bright atrium, which ensures easy orientation throughout the the scheme – horizontally as well as vertically.“The design facilitates both high flexibility as well as a clearly structured façade through the use of a 1,3 meters wide grid. With its calm and harmonic presence the skin of the building generates an accentuated atmosphere. Curved metal fins in front of the ventilation casements define the visual appearance at an interval of 2,6 meters.”The circulation areas are mainly organized around the central atrium.
